In other words, if you (at your current age, height, and weight) went into a 24-hour coma, your BMR states the amount of calories you would burn during that time. Your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) takes your BMR, factors in your daily activity level, to determine approximately how many calories you burn every day.
